Tutor Training

Join us for a free 13-hour tutor training. During the four training sessions you will learn innovative strategies for teaching adults. Here are some of the things you’ll learn:

• How to teach reading and phonics
• How to build comprehension skills
• How to teach writing
• How to set up a lesson plan

After receiving the free tutor training, you will be matched with an adult learner. Project Read will supply you with free workbooks to help your learner and ongoing support.

• Every year we have at least four tutor training sessions in the cities of Daly City and South San Francisco.
• We offer continuing education workshops quarterly for both tutors and learners.
